Mark has led downstream, specialty products, and environmental industry-focused companies for more than 30 years. Specifically, his senior leadership roles have accounted for annual revenues exceeding $500MM with industrial stalwarts such as Shell, SK Environmental and GFL. He has consistently focused on technical, sales, and operations functions, while continually exploring opportunities to grow the business through targeted and transformational acquisitions. Mark earned a master’s in chemical engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany, and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Hamburg, Germany. He is fluent in German and English.
William joined Blue Tide in April of 2021. Previously, William served as senior vice president of finance and global supply chain with HollyFrontier Corporation’s Lubricants division. William has also held business and corporate development roles at Plains All American. Prior to working at Plains, he was an investment banking associate with Simmons & Co., International, where he focused on M&A advisory in the oilfield services, midstream, and E&P sectors. William served for six years as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army after graduating from West Point with a BS in economics and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Steve Lewis joins our team as senior vice president of sales and supply. With 30 years’ experience in the environmental industry, he has guided North American commercial sales teams and marketed commodity products produced from the oil spent lubricants recycling process and terminal operations that include base oils, VGO, marine fuels, distillates, vacuum tower asphalt bottoms and recycled fuel oil as well as sourcing UMO supply throughout the U.S. and Canada. Steve earned his BS in communication and business management from Eastern Michigan University while playing Division 1 football.
Chad joined Blue Tide in June of 2021 but has been working with the team since inception as part of Tailwater Technical Consulting (TTC), which he joined in 2019. Mr. Aldrich has over 24 years of service in the petrochemical and midstream industries. Prior to joining TTC, Mr. Aldrich served as senior director, project management at Southcross Energy. He has held multiple leadership roles in engineering, operations, asset optimization, and commercial/business development. Prior assignments have included conceptual studies, debottleneck studies, facility troubleshooting, and technical/commercial evaluations for mergers/acquisitions. Previous employers have included Enterprise Products Partners, Dow Chemical, and Koch Industries. Mr. Aldrich holds a B.S. in chemical engineering.
