About Us

Blue Tide Environmental develops cleaner fuels by harnessing the latest in liquid waste upgrade technology. We recycle used motor oil (UMO) to consistently produce high-quality, high-lubricity, low-sulfur marine fuel at our Baytown, Texas facility. Our IMO 2020 compliant products offer environmentally-friendly blend components and a significantly reduced greenhouse gas footprint compared to virgin fossil fuel-derived products.

Our mission is to create a better tomorrow by providing clean, low carbon footprint recycled marine fuels.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a coast-to-coast, vertically integrated UMO collection, supply, and recycling network offering top-quality fuel streams combined with a low carbon footprint where engaged, driven employees power our growth engine.

Our Core Values

We are a flat, driven organization that believes that sustainable success comes from a clear, unrelenting focus on execution combined with a customer-centric worldview.

We believe that our employees and our customers are the bedrock upon which we build our business and treat all stakeholders with respect.

We strive to meet and exceed the highest ethical standards in our communications and actions with all our stakeholders.

Safety and Environmental Stewardship

We have an obligation to ensure the safety of our employees, customers and the communities in which we operate, which includes the safety and stewardship of the environment.

Partnered for Strategic Growth

Through our partner, Tailwater Capital, a growth-oriented Dallas-based private equity firm, we can expeditiously move on opportunities and expand our footprint through both acquisitions and organic growth, greenfield or brownfield projects.

Dedicated to Our Community

Blue Tide proudly supports and actively participates in the following organizations. Our team is dedicated to not only serving
the communities in which we work, but also educating ourselves continuously on industry best practices.

Building Conservation Trust

The team at Blue Tide Environmental are proud supporters of the Building Conservation Trust (BCT). Established in 2013 by the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) and a Shell endowment, the BCT was created to provide vital funding for grassroots-driven projects that achieve one or more of five key objectives:

  • Restore degraded habitats;
  • Create new habitats;
  • Advance the science of coastal habitat and marine fisheries conservation;
  • Foster habitat stewardship; and
  • Educate coastal communities of the value of conservation.

National Oil Recyclers Association

NORA, the National Oil Recyclers Association, an association of responsible recyclers. Through this affiliation, we actively seek to ensure that best stewardship practices are introduced and enforced for UMO across North America.
